Hobsons Accountants

Hobsons Chartered Accountants, an independent accountancy and business advisor practice established in 1927.

The client

Hobsons was established in 1927 and today, they continue to build on their enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to their business and personal clients alike.

The problem

Hobsons Accountants came to onezo with a list of requirements as they had been left frustrated at the lack of advisory and support to their existing and future IT growth plans.

onezo has worked with Hobsons Accountants to build a project timeline to address these bottlenecks and work towards resolving these in an orderly and timely manner.

Due to business growth, an existing 18U wall mounted cabinet was at full capacity and therefore was restricting server/infrastructure improvement and causing headaches over connectivity for the current and future staff influx.

The solution

Onezo supplied a new 42U server cabinet to transfer the existing network infrastructure with room for growth. In addition to this, we also provided and installed rack to tower conversion kits for their servers and rack mount kits for two existing Cisco Routers, which deliver data and phone connectivity.

During the planning phase, all data and phone ports were mapped due limitations of POE ports available to them in additional the core uplinks between switches, servers and other critical infrastructure.

The work to remove the wall mounted cabinet and transfer to the new cabinet was required to be done out of hours to not impact during normal business hours.

The project was completed successfully on time, with no problems encountered.
